News about Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover has sparked continuous heated discussions in the US recently. The focus of some, however, has apparently been off the track. Instead, it will continue to intensify all the problems Washington is facing, be they domestic or external, and squeeze the room to solve these issues in the future. Even some people of insight in the US have warned that the excessive attention on undermining Beijing’s advantages could make Washington neglect its most important tasks at home and push its foreign policies to deviate from its course even further. „American hubris is always a danger, but so is exaggerated fear, which can lead to overreaction,“ wrote US scholar Joseph Nye last year. „The US and China must avoid exaggerated fears that could create a new cold or hot war,“ he added. It seems that those who are sick are unwilling to take medicine.The US is trying to oppose China in every possible aspect, reflecting the peremptory squeezing of reality by the US‘ anti-China ideology. Ist Ihnen schon aufgefallen, wie oft und – aus meiner Sicht systematisch – gutaussehende, meist junge Frauen in unseren Fernseh-Medien eingesetzt werden, um für Kriege und Waffen zu werben, für schwere Waffen, für noch mehr Waffen … und immer wieder lassen sie durchblicken, dass es noch mehr sein muss und dass nicht ausreicht, was die Bundesregierung in unser aller Namen und auf unsere Kosten an Waffen in einen laufenden Krieg liefert. Wenn Ihnen die Überschrift zu hart erscheint, dann schauen Sie zur Überprüfung den „Brennpunkt“ von gestern Abend an. Mir reicht jedenfalls die Kriegsgeilheit dieser jungen Damen. Im konkreten Fall tritt als Moderatorin Catherine Vogel vom WDR auf. Nicht anders verlaufen Sendungen mit den Moderatorinnen Caren Miosga, Marietta Slomka und den meisten anderen alten und neuen Gesichtern. Albrecht Müller.
Mit dem Gebrauch des Wortes Flintenweib tue ich den Frauen, die diesen Begriff geprägt haben, unrecht. Das waren nämlich Frauen in der Sowjetunion, die sich in ihrer Heimat gegen den Krieg der Nazis wehrten und deshalb zu bewundern sind. Aber das Verständnis dieses Begriffes hat sich von dieser ursprünglichen Prägung abgelöst. Das heutige Verständnis des Begriffes passt zu dem, was wir in unseren Fernseh-Medien unentwegt erleben: Im „Brennpunkt“ von gestern wie zuvor zum Beispiel in den Tagesthemen vom vergangenen Freitag – 15 Minuten lang unter Anleitung der Moderatorin Miosga.
Die Schwere-Waffen-Geilheit ist nicht auf Frauen beschränkt. So wurde uns von Berlin Direkt des ZDF am vergangenen Sonntag z.B. vorgeführt, dass Männern die Förderung von Waffenlieferungen genauso leicht von der Hand geht – in dieser Sendung repräsentiert von Theo Koll, Robert Habeck und dem einknickenden Bundeskanzler Scholz.
Das traurige Fazit: die Meldungen, Berichte und Kommentare mit Forderungen nach Waffenlieferungen und mit positiven Akzenten zum Krieg übertreffen die Mahnungen zum Frieden und die konkreten Überlegungen dazu meilenweit. Und Frauen spielen bei dieser Stimmungsmache leider eine bemerkenswert große Rolle.
